We’re a Top Workplace
Asymmetrik Wins Washington Post Award
Jun 15, 2017
Did you hear? Asymmetrik is a Washington Post Top Workplace in 2017!
Every year, The Washington Post recognizes the best employers in the area. They judge companies based on anonymous surveys that explore employee satisfaction. So, the surveys cover career satisfaction, employee recognition, growth potential, leadership, work/life balance, and benefits.
54,204 employees at 336 companies completed the survey this year. And, Asymmetrik ranked #10 in the Small Business category! We are delighted because this is our first year participating in the survey. For that, we’re saying a big thank you to “The A-Team.”
A Humbling Award
CTO Amit Singh, CFO Lori Malbrough and members of the A-Team accepted the award on June 15th, 2017. Everyone had a great time touring The Washington Post, and seeing behind the scenes.
Amit’s thrilled about the news: “We’re honored to be a The Washington Post Top Workplace. The secret to our success is valuing and appreciating our employees as people. We support their passions, their ideas, and their lives outside of work. I love the energy here. Every day we collaborate, innovate, and create as a team.”
It’s Not Just About The Perks
Our employees enjoy a lot of benefits. Among them, A-Teamers have a modern/flexible office, fully covered health care, 100% tuition support, a stocked kitchen, and an awesome game room. That said, perks alone don’t make a sustainable culture. Fulfillment and purpose matter.
They have a great work life balance, and encourage everyone to always do their best
As employees, we want our work to be meaningful. We want to work with smart people and be free to think independently. And, we want our voices heard so we can make a difference. Asymmetrik values these things. And, that’s what makes a top workplace.
Our employees say it best:
- “The owners do the right thing for their customers and their employees. They are very fair and share the wealth with their employees with profit sharing, generous benefits. Our voices count.”
- “They have a great work/life balance, and encourage everyone to always do their best while encouraging personal growth; whether with your family or your own education/self development.”
- “It’s truly wonderful to know that I can walk into any senior manager’s office and voice my concern or give them an idea. I know that they are listening and care about what I have to say.”
We love working with such inspiring people every day. If you think Asymmetrik sounds like a top workplace, maybe it’s time to take a closer look.
