Mike Frentz – CEO
Despite being in the business over 30 years, Mike still wakes up each morning with the same two questions: “Why are things the way they are?” and “How can we make them better?” As an industry vet who’s worked with some of the brightest minds in the nation, Mike has only gotten more curious. After 26 years at the notorious funhouse, BBN Technologies, Mike and Amit met while working an SAIC effort together in 2004.
Mike holds a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Physics from the Catholic University of America and three patents. His leisure time includes a steady diet of reading economics, history, religion, and philosophy, relaxing with his family, and messing about in small boats on the Chesapeake Bay – “life’s too short to sail an ugly boat.”
Amit Singh – CTO
With a passion for solving problems, Amit is as much an excavator as he is a Chief Technology Officer, digging deeply to find the root causes of client’s challenges and explore solutions that open doors to new opportunities. With over 20 years of experience working on projects ranging from the Space Shuttle to the White House, Amit has delivered tangible results addressing the customers’ needs in a cost-effective way. He is a notoriously bad joke-teller, but as with any obstacle that he’s encountered, it’s never stopped him.
Sarah Otchet – CFO
Sarah is Asymmetrik’s Chief Financial Strategy Officer. Her areas of expertise include financial systems, indirect rate strategy, and government compliance. Not only does she hold a Masters in Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University and an Economics degree from McDaniel College, she is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Maryland. When she’s not poring over spreadsheets, Sarah can be found in the mountains of western Maryland – boating, skiing, and hiking. Her new found challenge in life is golf…and she welcomes all the pointers she can get!
Ryan Blace – COO
Ryan is the Chief Operating Officer at Asymmetrik and a computer science professional with extensive experience in systems architecture, data visualization, and software development. Ryan holds a Masters in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and an undergrad degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park. In his spare time, Ryan likes to get lost mountain biking in the woods of the Patapsco Valley. If you see him you can say hi, but don’t be offended if he doesn’t notice – he’s probably on a segment.
